Medicaid Eligibility

Find Medicare Supplement Insurance
Select Your State:

While there are many different groups who are eligible for Medicaid, there are certain requirements that must be made within these groups. Some of the requirements you will need to meet include a certain age, if you have a disability, if you are pregnant, what your income is, and many other things.

The main thing you are going to want to look at to see if you are eligible or not for Medicaid is your income. Every state has different requirements and levels of income you must meet in order to be eligible. It is important you take the time to find out what the requirement is for your state.

Eligibility for children is strictly based on the child's status and not the parent's. Even if you as the parent are not eligible, your child may still be. As long as the child is a U.S. citizen or a legal immigrant, they are eligible.

If you are pregnant and are in need of money, you should apply for Medicaid. You can be eligible regardless of whether you are single or married. If you are on this program when your child is born, both you and your child will be on Medicaid.

The last category you want to look into is if you are aged, have a disability, or are blind. You will certainly want to apply if you are 65+ years old, blind, or have a disability and have low income. You will also want to apply if you are eligible for Medicare and have a low income.

There are several different requirements and regulations that make up the eligibility for Medicaid. It is important you look at the different requirements closely as you may be able to take advantage of this program today.
